April 17th : Insomnia Cookies

So today, I woke up and decided that I was going to attempt to have an entirely productive day without leaving my bed. HA.

Let me fill you in on how it went :

11:17 AM - Get up to use the restroom, eat a piece of bread slathered in peanut butter and label it 'breakfast', gather up the materials needed for said "productive" day in bed (so that water, snacks, my computer, The Book Thief, and the homework I needed to do today were all within reach of my bed), and finally, get back in bed.

11:25 AM - Read almost 100 pages of The Book Thief. Enjoy thoroughly.

11:55 AM - Begin reading The Victim, since it was the assigned reading for my American Fiction class this past week.

12:23 AM - Fall asleep.

4:18 PM - Wake up. Realize that I took a 4 hours nap unintentionally, perhaps homework in bed is not a good idea.

At this point, I abandoned any hope of my aspiration to have a "productive" day in bed.

5:30 PM - Check the internet. (By this I mean, check my e-mail, facebook, twitter, blog, youtube, and dailybooth.) (I think that means that I spend too much time on the internet.)

6:45 PM - Decide that I should actually, probably, maybe get back to that homework ... after I eat a cup of Velveeta Mac'N'Cheese.

8:00 PM - Actually start homework. Read my Russian assignment and more of The Victim.

8:45 PM - Agree to order cookies* with roommate, as soon as you finish The Victim and take a shower.

9:30 PM - Order cookies to celebrate being clean and finishing at least one assignment.

10:15 PM - Cookies arrive. Snack on cookies while watching Friends episodes.

12:30 PM - Look up at the clock and realize that it's past midnight. Decide to update blog, but being lazy decide to make it in an hourly format, because that is easier and requires less thought and coherence.

*We have this wonderful thing in Manhattan called Insomnia Cookies, which is what this post was named for. Insomnia Cookies is basically a late-night cookie delivery service that is delicious! It is by far my favorite take-out restaurant ...

Q4TR : What is your favorite take-out restaurant?

  1. You get cookies DELIVERED? Jealous. :]
Oh, and yes... setting your day up to be productive is probably one of the biggest lies of a college student's day.
These days do, however, turn out to be quite relaxing!

  2. My favourite take out is Shanghai Kitchen for Chinese or Andreas or Pizza Hut for Italian/pizza-ness

  3. I've never been able to study in bed. If I'm at all tired, even a good book will put me to sleep. At least you'll be well rested for tomorrow!

I rarely get takeaway. That cookie place sounds pretty awesome, though. I'm craving some... I haven't had any biscuits in ages!
